Manager, Promotions & Partnerships

Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Promotions Director, the Promotions Manager is responsible for assisting in the development and execution of multi-platform, consumer facing Promotions and Partnerships for shows and the network.
Essential
Responsibilities:
Responsible for assisting in the development and execution of the Promotions and Partnership strategy and plan year-round for shows and the network operating within the annual department budget
Promotions are not limited to but include over site of network presence at tent-pole conventions/events (e.g. Comic-con, Vid-con), custom show Promotions outside of conventions (e.g. screenings, stunts), grass-roots promotions for targeted audiences (AA, LGBT, Hispanic, etc.)
Partnerships initiated and/or managed include with major brands and sales partners, in-show partners, charities, complementary entertainment and digital properties, other NBC Universal Comcast brands and organizations, etc.
Responsible for promotions-related special projects as they arise (e.g. NBC's photo booth in the Universal Theme Parks, merchandise for special events, internal events)
Actively develop ideas and/or request proposals for Promotions in collaboration with Promotions staff, external agencies and internal teams
Works closely with Brand Marketing team to understand show positioning, marketing strategies, target audiences and goals to ensure ideas are on-brand and goal-oriented
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure Promotions are multi-platform and/or include amplification layers (Digital, Social Media, Advertising, Publicity, etc.)
Develop presentations for senior management for approvals explaining the idea, strategic approach, projected results and potential ROI
Involvement in overseeing the execution of larger and small scale events including: pre, on-site and post, including:
Working with and over seeing agency, staffing, budgets, contracts, legal, insurance, travel and other production related elements
Elaborate experiential build-outs and fabrications and all that includes such as technology, digital and interactive elements
Development of creative elements that deliver impactful use of brand IP
Sourcing, creation, and distribution of merchandise and collateral
Consistent collaboration with internal teams, external agencies and brand partners to ensure maximum impact and exposure are achieved across all promotional layers (experiential, digital, social) and/or amplification platforms (publicity, media, affiliate platforms)
Collaboration with Publicity and Talent Relations on talent participation
Collaborate with partners and internal departments to resolve any program issues
Delivers communication to key internal and external stakeholders and peers on promotional activity
During development and execution: maintains and shares creative, status, and analysis (e.g. budgets, timing, photos, collateral, video)
Post program: performs analysis (e.g. traditional ROI, key learnings and results)
On-Going:
Participate in brainstorming sessions and meetings around shows, campaigns and promotional ideas, etc.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with all marketing departments, as well as Programming, Publicity, Finance, Legal, Sales and Creative, to facilitate on-brand, effective, timely and enjoyable collaboration for all Promotions
Monitor competitive landscape marketing, promotional trends and consumer behaviors, and apply to development of ideas. Seek out attention getting promotional practices, new technologies and innovative brands to ensure cutting edge, best in class promotions
Basic
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years Promotions experience, preferably at a broadcast and/or cable brand, other entertainment company and/or agency
Bachelor's degree strongly desired.
