Summary:
The Sustainability Coordinator is responsible for supporting company-wide sustainability initiatives for Film and Television productions, both internationally and on the Universal Studios lot. This includes the existing TV and Film Sustainable Production Programs as well as studio operations in the areas of energy, water and waste. As a member of the Corporate Affairs team, this person will play a key role in sustainability initiatives across the portfolio and broader employee communication efforts.

Responsibilities:
From Los Angeles support TV and Film productions in the day-to-day implementation and monitoring of the Sustainable Production Program on over 60
domestic and international productions a year
Communicate Sustainable Production Guidelines and assist in the integration of best practices into existing and new production operations
Administer production documents and deliverables to gather qualitative and quantitative information
Serve as the liaison with crew and production personnel on sustainable production issues, opportunities and progress in environmental practices
Assist in the compilation and analysis of production environmental accounting data
Track progress of program on all productions, benchmark, and follow up where needed
Maintain database of sustainable suppliers and resources
Manage food donation programs on the Universal Lot and for remote productions
Provide support for Universal Studios lot environmental initiatives, including employee education and annual Earth Week activities
Support the Universal Studios Lot recycling program
Research and identify suppliers of new energy efficient technologies that can be used in pilot programs for productions
Draft sustainability communication materials for company-wide, industry and consumer purposes for print and online
Write and manage posts for the WordPress-based Green Is Universal blog
Work on additional projects and tasks as requested by Director, including industry-wide efforts
Support Corporate Affairs department on employee engagement and community investment projects, as needed
Manage administrative responsibilities for the Corporate Affairs departmentBasic
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of two years' experience in TV or Film production
Strong analytic skills and acute attention to detail is essential
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Self-starter, flexible, motivated and proactive; comfortable working independently
Strong computer skills, including being well versed in Microsoft Excel
Must be comfortable working in a corporate environment
Understanding of environmental issues
