Sr. Manager, Accessories & Footwear

Responsibilities:

Universal Consumer Products is the business segment of NBCUniversal that extends the NBCU properties to merchandise ranging from apparel, toys, home d cor, books, food and beverages, stationery, and electronics.
Role Summary
The Senior Manager is responsible for the fast moving Fashion Accessories & Footwear categories, setting strategies, seeking co-brands, identifying white space opportunities as well as managing key licensee relationships in support of NBCUniversal s brand, across our Film, TV and other IP. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of Category/Brand management, licensing and retail landscape, strong analytical and financial skills. The candidate should have a proven successful track record, an entrepreneurial spirit and skills required to execute key strategies and overall growth of our brands.
This position regularly liaises with licensing partners, NBCUniversal s retail, franchise, and product development teams to grow the overall business. The ideal candidate should have minimum of 6 years experience with Category/Brand Management.
Responsibilities
Category Management and Licensee Management

  • Identify opportunities and fill gaps by product category and related sub-categories, age, segment, market, channel and franchise
  • Lead contract negotiations with licensees and maintain contracts
  • Accountable for day-to-day management of category licensees including overseeing business reviews
  • Partner with the Design and Product Management team to drive quality and champion innovation in product development
  • Be able to present business in executive and licensee meetings with confidence
  • Partner closely with Design and Product Management to ensure timely product approvals in line with industry needs
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, competitors, business opportunities, threats and dynamics for key licensees
Finance and Business Planning
  • Manage annual budget planning and quarterly revenue forecasting for assigned categories
  • Analyze and present account business performance (licensee & retailer)
  • Negotiate and manage contracts by analyzing and vetting licensee business plans
Brand and Content Management
  • Support brand marketing initiatives including the development and execution of category plans
  • Integrate licensees within wider brand and marketing plans
Retail Development
  • Liaise with Retail Development team to complement account promotional and marketing plans and ensure key licensee participation
  • Maintain knowledge of key seasonalities and buying cycles of retailers
Strategy
  • Provide input and execute strategy set for Accessories & Footwear categories, as they align with the larger franchise strategy
  • Partner with Product Design in developing line and segmentation strategies for key licensees, maintaining a three- year roadmap, driving innovation and quality
  • Manage a portfolio of licensees to grow the Consumer Products business

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree + 6 yrs. of directly related experience or MBA + 4 yrs. Experience in Fashion & Home
  • Strong understanding of brand and property positioning, retail business development function, retail distribution and the retail environment

    The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
