Payroll Technical Analyst

Responsibilities:

  • Review Master Data Pass Through - requires deep-dive research in SAP to determine root cause of issue and appropriate course of action - work with HR Payroll Operations to correct records
  • Pass-thru findings - requires research to advise course of action - work with HR Payroll Operations and ADP to correct records
  • Post Pass-thru findings - audit/validate updates/corrections
  • On-Cycle ADP SRs - research/validate requests or action resulting from PT review or compare - submit requests to ADP
  • Off-Cycle SRs - research/validate requests or action resulting from PT review or compare - submit requests to ADP
  • LOA Overpayments - work with the Benefits Team to determine if additional action is required
  • Review daily SAP report and research any non-tax related issues - determine root cause and appropriate course of action - work to get records corrected
  • Monitor/audit exempt mid-cycle and retro increases and advise ADP on appropriate pay
  • Analyze current PT process to determine opportunities for improvement/consolidation and work with CM team to implement efficiencies and process automation
  • Document current processes and update/maintain SOPs to ensure accuracy
  • Audit all submissions to ADP
  • Back-up Payroll Specialist position
  • Back-up Expatriate Payroll Administrator

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Thorough understanding of the integration between timekeeping, SAP and ADP applications and how to troubleshoot when issues occur

  • Ability to create and maintain SOPs
  • Understanding of NBCU payroll procedures and policies
  • Written and verbal communication; ability to prepare reports and make presentations to various professional and public groups
  • Flexibility and adaptability in performing work duties
  • ADP Experience- EV5, ADPR, iReports
  • SAP Experience
  • Experience in time tracking systems
  • Experience in payroll principles, practices and procedures


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
