Senior Financial Analyst, International TVD

Responsibilities:

Job Purpose
The Senior Financial Analyst of InternationalTVDis primarily responsible for financial planning & analysis of distribution and marketing costs for NBC Universal s filmed entertainment and television product distributed in the International TV markets (including Pay TV, Free TV & Digital). Additionally, this role will assist with other financial planning & analysis activities related to Free TV revenues as necessary.
In this role, the SFA will support the financial planning and analysis of budgets and forecasts for TVD Direct costs, and perform variance analysis versus prior forecasts and budget. This position will report to theDirector, International TVD FP&Aand will also be responsible for coordinating with members of the International Television Marketing and Distribution Groups as well as cross-functional team members in Sales Administration, Billings and Collections, Theatrical and Television Planning Groups and Information Technology.
Essential Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis for Direct Costs:

  • Analyze and summarize financial results for the department costs against the plan, forecasts, and prior results to management
  • Manage & maintain the direct cost models by territory and product line
  • Prepare & submit quarterly cost reports
  • Participate in quarterly close process, including pacing of costs against forecast, review and validation of costs booked
  • Improve operational efficiency by streamlining process and enhancing reporting automation
  • Ad hoc reporting, analysis and special projects
    Financial Planning & Analysis for Free TV Revenues:
  • As directed by their supervisor, the Senior Financial Analyst will assist with preparation of Budgets, Forecasts and other analyses related to Free TV revenues.
  • Generate relevant reporting and assist in preparation of plan data loading as necessary.
  • Qualifications/Requirements

    Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in performing quantitative analysis, forecasting, and/or financial modeling

  • Desired Characteristics

  • Strong experience working with Excel (formulas & pivot tables). Understanding of MS Access/databases a plus.

    The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
