Manager, TV Distribution Accounting

Responsibilities:

Job Purpose
The TV Distribution Accounting Manager will be responsible for assisting Global Television Distribution with the quarterly close process, US GAAP revenue recognition, and financial audit and SOX compliance. The role will report into the Director of TV Distribution and will work closely with TV Distribution FP&A departments in LA and NY, Technical Accounting and Internal Audit department.
Responsibilities

  • Assist with quarterly cost reporting across TVD s global offices including preparation of journal entries and supporting documentation and posting to SAP (General ledger)
  • Prepare quarterly balance sheet review package for management
  • Responsible for overseeing the day to day operations for Accounts Payables system including SAP and hierarchy maintenance for cost center accounting.
  • Responsible for assisting TVD departments with AP questions, credit card questions and coding requests
  • Assist in coordination and execution of quarterly/annual SOX and Financial Statement audits with internal and external auditors
  • Prepare general ledger account reconciliations in accordance with company policy
  • Review, analyze and document TV Distribution licensing agreements to ensure proper revenue recognition and key contract provisions.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and special projects as requested
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with the FP&A teams and International TVD team located in The Netherlands.
  • Qualifications/Requirements

    Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting & CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting/finance experience

    The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
