Manager, Operations

Responsibilities Essential Responsibilities   Execute on all things Office space, including maintenance, new hire setup and cross-department ad hoc projects. Organize, plan, and execute internal initiatives, in partnership with HR, such as Townhall meetings, Department Head/Employee face time lunches, the Young Professionals group, the Workplace committee events, etc. Work with department coordinators to on board new employees and project manage maintenance issues involving supplies, kitchen, storage, etc. Work on maintaining floor plans and org charts in the confidential circle of the President. Support VP, Operations & Administration on the below. Including, but not limited to : High level space planning and remodel planning coordinating between various departments including facilitates, HR, Finance, and Executives.   Address all financial, employee and facility concerns related to production. Run the operational brain trust to find efficiencies across video operations. Communications to staff on high level or cross-functional announcements. Track org chart changes and continue development of an onboarding program in partnership with HR. Plan and consult with senior team on all cross departmental efforts. Provide support for Systems & Workflows team. Qualifications/Requirements Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Minimum 3 years relevant work experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Must exercise a high level of discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information Eligibility Requirements: Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV online to be considered Willingness to work overtime and on weekends with short notice Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA Must have work authorization to work in the United States Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program Desired Characteristics Desired Characteristics: Fearlessness of learning new technical tools. Previous work experience at a studio, network or large office, especially in production or operations. Knowledge of the Network and Cable TV landscape. Flexible, personable, self-starter, and extremely detail-oriented with the ability to interface with all levels of NBCU staff. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
